Tammy Toney-Butler, a sex trafficking survivor and lived experience expert is the Founder and President of Reflective Spaces Ministry, a faith-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working directly with adult and adolescent survivors of human trafficking, sexual assault, and childhood adversity on their journey to become whole. As a nursing professional, Tammy served as an emergency department nurse for thirty years and currently works as a Forensic Nurse Examiner/Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. Tammy is a published author and subject matter expert on human trafficking and trauma-responsive care. She has publications featured in the National Library of Medicine (PubMed) and is an international speaker on human trafficking. Tammy's extensive presentation list includes speaking at the United Nations and World Health Organization's Year of the Nurse and Midwife Civil Society Briefing, the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners - Long Island Chapter, American Nurses Association General Assembly, the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Naples Woman’s Club Empowering Woman’s Luncheon, and the Bonita-Estero Woman’s Club. Tammy has been retained as an expert witness in a human trafficking case, served as an expert panelist on network television, and is the co-founder of Nurses United Against Human Trafficking, PA. Tammy credits all her healing and success to Christ. She sold everything she owned and answered the call God placed on her life. In 2020, A&K Ranch Ministries, LLC, and Nurses United Against Human Trafficking were founded, and in 2021, Reflective Spaces Ministry became a reality.
